In my earlier posts, i mentioned five ways to get on top of your game in business in Nigeri. Here are the remaining five.
6. I work fast. I work Hard. I learn fast. I unlearn the no longer valid. I adapt hyperfast,it's like lightening. In today's world of rapid change, what you've learnt is irrelevant. It's what you need to unlearn that matters. My laptop computer and the internet are two powerful tools I make use of. I can't imagine how I got here without them.
7. Next I network daily. The globe is my home. I will continue learning german and Japanese. These languages will open up borders than are closed to most people. My mobile phone and email are resources I will put to better use. My strength and wealth is directly proportional to the square of my network.To increase my networth, I need to increase my network especially outside my areas of expertise. 256 superhero heads are better than one.
8.I build on my strengths and that of others. My business partner- Az offers research on anything. He can find anything on the net. He has raised my leadership lid several times.Internet, ebooks and eventually media courses. He has modelled true leadership for me. (Can't wait to see him emerge as Governor of his state and eventual president of this Nation.) Our office administrator- Miss Adegoke can find anybody -dead or alive. She can fix any appointment with almost anyone. A member of my inner team, Mr Akinwunmi Temidayo is a blocker. He blocks my strong choleric tendencies by showing me the effect my strong pacesetting personality can do to my team. My goal is NOT to take on the world alone but to build a great leadership team that can enjoy the benefits of successful teamwork in life, business and career together.
9. Then I reflect on my mortality. Although I'm relatively young in age compared to other rising public figures, I dwell regularly on my lifestyle and lifespan. I've lost several childhood friends, old classmates and I too could die any minute and then the day I dread most breaks upon me-Judgement day.
Knowing that I will soon die gives me focus. I know I am accountable for my actions to God, the great architect of the universe. I try to live with the aim of imparting purpose into the life God has given me and the lives around me. Its one thing I wish I could let people know about me, Business is NOT just business- It's an opportunity to serve my family, my team and the community like christ did.
10. Superheroes
There are millions around me who need the strength of superheroes. I'll give them my strength and help them stand. Perhaps this is the reason why I've been blessed with the pain of failure in the past- to strengthen and encourage those are going through tough times.
